Professional Development Committee Update

My tenure as chair of professional development is coming to a close this fall. It has been an honor to serve you. I have been consistently impressed with the passion and professionalism of CAAEYC's members. I am very proud of what the committee has participated in accomplishing during the past few years. From establishing the details of committee governance to redefining the tracks for Leadership Day at the Annual Conference to reinvigorating the awards and grants program to honing the vision for the California Forum for Professional Development, we have been busy and productive.

I am equally excited about where the committee is headed during the next few years with new leadership. There is plenty more that can be done to support the development of early childhood educators and those that provide professional learning to our field.

Finally, I am grateful to have been given the opportunity to grow as a leader and I encourage you to get involved. CAAEYC wants to be one of the places where you shine.
