California Association for the Education of Young Children (CAAEYC) represents early childhood education professionals who are experts in the developmental and learning needs of the youngest learners in California. California AEYC recognizes the need for supporting administrators and educators of TK programs.
We are pleased to announce the third annual TK Institute to be held November 6-7, 2026 at the Marriott Los Angeles Airport.
Our Target Audience
Our target audience is principals, school site administrators and teachers in the TK realm. Center-based and Family child care centers that operate a TK program are invited to register.
Program Schedule
The breakout session schedule with topics and presenters is now available. View the link in the left side bard. The program begins on Friday morning at 6:45am with registration, breakfast at 7:30am and the opening session at 8:15am. There are 20 breakout sessions from Friday morning through Saturday morning. The program concludes on Saturday with a closing presentation from 10:30am-12:00pm. Last year we added an informal networking lunch on Saturday. The Saturday lunch is not included in your registration fee; add it for $35.

Thank you to NAEYC for their partnership in offering this book at a discounted rate of $52. The discounted rate is available through attendee registration only. There will be a handful of copies available onsite. If you purchase after the TK Institute, you will pay full price ($70) plus sales tax and shipping.

Attendee Registration is Now Live! Cost, Qualifications and More
The cost is $445 for NAEYC/CAAEYC members and $545 for nonmembers. The registration fee includes all sessions and meals (breakfast on Friday and Saturday, lunch on Friday and a light reception on Friday night). Saturday lunch is separately priced at $35. If you are not an NAEYC/CAAEYC member, start here to join.
The new registration system allows you to register and pay by check or purchase order -- in addition to paying by credit card. In addition, you will receive a login to update your registration and information, pay your registration, etc.
County Offices of Education (COEs), School Districts and School sites are encouraged to identify a small group they would like to attend to maximize opportunities for all agencies and interested individuals to participate. Our maximum capacity of participants is 200.
Attendee Qualifications - Important
To qualify as an attendee, you must be a teacher or administrator, either working in a public or charter school system or a private child care program (center or family based). If you provide a product or service for teachers, administrators or educators, you are not eligible to register as an attendee. We invite you to participate as an exhibitor/sponsor. Attendee Cancellation Policy
Cancellations received on or prior to October 9, 2026, will receive a 50% refund of the attendee registration funds. Cancellations received after that date are not eligible for refunds. All cancellations must be in writing.
Attendee Substitution Policy
If you are unable to attend, you may substitute a colleague for your entire registration. Substitutions must be of equal value. For example, if the current registrant is a member and the substitute is a nonmember, the nonmember may join or pay the difference in the registration between the member and nonmember rates. There is no sharing of registrations. An electronic letter (email or fax) and the original registration email confirmation must be submitted to CAAEYC by the original registrant or authorized representative by October 16, 2026. For substitutions after the deadline, contact CAAEYC staff. There is a $10 fee for each on-site substitution. Therefore, we encourage you to handle substitutions in advance of the TK Institute and by the substitution deadline.
Marriott Los Angeles Airport -- Reservation Link Now Available
The room rate per night at the Marriott LAX is $179 (does not include taxes, service fees, etc.); and it is available on November 5-7. Self-parking is reduced to $30 per night for overnight guests and day-of-meeting attendees (not staying overnight). The Marriott LAX offers a complimentary shuttle from/to the airport during the event dates. The reservation link is available below. Hotel cut-off date is Monday, October 12, 2026 -- based on availability.

Important Information About Your Reservation:
- Group rate is available 3 days pre and post event date (subject to hotel rate and room type availability).
- Self-parking discounts to $30.00 per vehicle, per night.
- Complimentary airport transfer to/from LAX Airport available during event dates.
- Guaranteed reservations must be accompanied by a first night room deposit with a major credit card.
Exhibiting -- All Tabletops Are Sold | Sponsorships Available
We are interested in companies that provide resources, products, equipment, etc. that support the TK classroom and teachers; and we would encourage vendors to bring items to sell. This opportunity is a tabletop exhibit for up to two people. The cost of the tabletop is $1,675 and includes one registration. If you want to register a second representative that cost is $250. The tabletop registration and the additional registration include all sessions and meals (breakfast on Friday and Saturday, lunch on Friday and a light reception on Friday night). Similar to attendee registration, you can add Saturday's lunch for an additional $35 per person. First-come, first-serve -- there are limited tabletops available.
