We received more than 270 proposal submissions and appreciate the interest in our Annual Conference. All proposal notifications were sent in mid-November, and based upon our meeting space capacity, we are pleased to deliver more than 170 workshops throughout three days of professional development, covering 31 tracks. Each year we prepare an online conference planner where you can search for a presenter, search by topical track, date, etc. Look for this information on the website in early January.

The Exhibit Hall will once again be filled with your favorite early childhood vendors ready to show you their best materials and resources. For an updated list of exhibitors and sponsors, go to www.conference.caeyc.org. If there is a vendor or organization not listed that you would like to be involved in this year’s conference as an exhibitor or sponsor, please send details to Michele Holcomb, micheleh@caeyc.org or (916) 486-7750.

The Honor an Early Childhood Educator reception event will be held at USC Pacific Asia Museum on Thursday evening, March 31. This program allows you to nominate people in your life who have impacted your educational and professional growth in the ECE field. Money collected is used to fund NAEYC/CAEYC student membership scholarships to continue the circle of education and professional growth in our organization. For more information and how to honor an educator, visit the article under the Scholarships, Awards and Grant Opportunities in this issue of eConnections.

Join us on Friday evening, April 1, for the Accreditation Celebration. This reception honors and highlights the centers that have gone through the detailed process of becoming NAEYC accredited. Help us recognize the accomplishment and dedication to excellence these centers have achieved.

CAEYC and Southern California Valley AEYC are excited to offer an ECE Program Site Tour in the Pasadena area. Attendees will visit three locations that will include the Outdoor Classroom Project, the Children’s Center at CalTech and Pacific Oaks Children’s School. Enjoy time at each location, gain new ideas to implement in your programs and have an opportunity to network with your fellow colleagues. Box lunch is included in the tour price.

We look forward to having you with us in Pasadena so mark your calendars for March 31- April 2. This might be Spring break for some and what better way to enjoy Spring then learning and playing in Southern California.

Download the registration brochure; online registration is coming soon – look for details in your in box.

See you there!
