The Professional Development Committee has continued to focus on high-quality opportunities for members to develop as professionals.  We are proud of our work with California’s Department of Education, Early Education Support Division, on the Forums for Professional Development. We are equally excited about the Annual Conference coming up in April in Pasadena. Now that local affiliates of NAEYC have become local chapters of CAAEYC, we are working very hard to identify new ways that our committee can support members.

We also hope to learn more about you so that we may continue to provide meaningful experiences for you at conferences and other events across the state. This year we have developed a formal member survey to elicit your feedback. Be on the lookout, because it will be in your inboxes soon.

Finally, and as always, we want you to feel welcome in our community. CAAEYC, like NAEYC, is a unique organization emerging from the intersection of divided segments in our field, striving to create a space for every voice and constantly evolving in response to diverse perspectives.
