Forums for Professional Development

The Forums in San Jose and Palm Springs were powerful opportunities to strengthen California’s professional learning system for early childhood educators. During the opening and closing sessions, we investigated shared values and developed real relationships across the system. We participated in high-quality learning sessions focused on systems thinkers, leaders, coaches/mentors, trainers and higher ed faculty. With all of the included breakfasts, lunches and receptions, we enjoyed plenty of time to connect with colleagues. Our conversations revealed insights about our shared foundations in early learning, adult learning and systems thinking and about our shared goals for what children, families and teachers need in order to become their best selves. We cannot be more excited to build on our successes as we begin to plan for this year.
