Message from the MECE Honoree

“Thanks to my brothers and colleagues from Men and Early Care and Education for this honor. I do appreciate your recognition and, more importantly, I appreciate what you’re doing in organizing men in the field. It comes at a crucial time, I think. Men certainly have a lot to answer for and reflect on given the Me Too and Never Again movements. Many have commented on a culture of Toxic Masculinity at the root of these issues. I believe that men working in Early Care and Education can be an important part of the antidote to that toxicity. Your choices and actions should provide positive models to children, parents, coworkers and society at large. Keep up the good work, thanks for your efforts and thanks again for this honor. It means a lot to me.”
