NorCal Men in Child Care
The Men and Child Care Committee thanks the CAEYC Annual Conference & Expo Committee for this year's Conference Mens' Room! It was wonderful to have workshops by and for the men lined up in one room all day Saturday.
Anthony Taylor and Steve Egawa presented a scholarly, informative and personal session documenting the obstacles that they and other men face as they pursue careers in early childhood education.
Dr. Paul Morehouse presented on his research into early educators as early music educators in his session - Give the Dude a Drum!
Featured presenter Shaun-Adrian Chofla engaged a packed room with his interactive session on gender and ECE.
Patrick Romero, from East Bay AEYC and Gregory Uba from Sacramento Valley, Redwood Empire and Beach Cities AEYC encouraged everyone to "Invest in Men!"
