Greetings fellow ECE Educators and ECE supporters. Thank you all for your dedication to Early Childhood Education. In the last several months we have had to change many aspects of care in ECE. Although we are still in the midst of a global pandemic we have all worked together (from home and on school/childcare sites) to provide a sense of normalcy and comfort in the lives of little ones and their families while following the healthy practices guidelines to provide safe/healthy environments and experiences. Even in these uncertain times we continue to have a positive impact on the lives of children. You are all amazing!!! Please give yourself props for all you do, and please give your fellow ECE Educators props for all they do as well. We are essential in the lives of young children and their families – it is so great that we have officially been recognized as essential workers.
In the coming months we (Foothill… chapter of CAAEYC) will be hosting zoom workshops and topic discussions. Please check our Facebook page and your emails regularly for upcoming discussions and professional growth opportunities. As all of us navigate the next several months in the midst of this Pandemic, it is important to have fellow Educators to talk with, mentor, learn from and exchange ideas with. I encourage you to hop on to the Zoom meeting we are going to arrange to discuss the current events and what we are doing in our different centers/home childcares. These discussions will be great for those who would like to share their experiences and also for those who are more comfortable listening to others share. Thank you again for all you have done, do, and will do for ECE. You are truly making a difference. Stay positive and safe. We will get through this together. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions, suggestions, etc. It is my pleasure and the Board’s pleasure to support you in every way we can.
With much love and appreciation for each and every one of you,
Foothill & Greater San Gabriel Valley Board President
