Peninsula AEYC’s Provider Recognition Luncheon & Awards & Grants
This year's Provider Recognition Luncheon took place on Saturday, April 16 at Maggiano's Little Italy in Santana Row. We had a full house of enthusiastic early childhood education leaders, teachers, administrators and supporters.
Our music entertainment and keynote was Lori and R.J. from Cotton Candy Express Music. They were fantastic! We all know and appreciate music and the wonder it brings to the learning environment. It was fun to participate and watch the adults dance and get their bodies moving, just like children do! The food was amazing, the prizes were great and the highlight was watching the three honorees receiving their awards.
This year the Awards and Grants Committee decided to team up with the Provider Recognition Committee to award Outstanding Educators at our annual luncheon. We had three educators who were nominated by their fellow educators as outstanding in the field. At the luncheon three teachers received a certificate, flowers and a Lakeshore gift card. Adelina Vargas, Carmen DeAngelo and Marva Lyons, received awards this year. Adelina and Carmen, who are both new to the field, were nominated due to their outstanding work and enthusiasm. Marva, a veteran in the field, was nominated because of her outstanding work and influence with other Early Childhood Educators. Thank you to all who nominated! Please keep a lookout for upcoming Nominate an Educator opportunities in the future!
Congratulations to:
- Carmen De Angelo nominated by, Araceli Lopez
- Marva Lyons nominated by Tamara Tanner
