“Let the Wild Rumpus Start” as Max Says in Where The Wild Things Are

I started my connection with our Association in college at Fresno State. The concept of having a work force in ECE was just beginning as I entered a degree program that was only a few semesters old. What a “wild rumpus” it has been – a career filled with a huge variety of engaging opportunity! My path has been varied but there is one constant – my membership in this organization. The very first classroom assignment was with my co-teacher, Arleen Weston, who was the President of the local chapter, Central Valley. She invited me to a meeting and as they say “the rest is history.”

Jacque Sell and I met over lunch in the summer 2006. I was the Chair of the 2007 Annual Conference in San Jose, and she was in charge of school tours. We have played a grand game of pass the baton ever since. I want to thank Jacque for her wonderful leadership through the first two years of our new structure, and I am grateful we still have her wisdom for two more years as Past President.

I am looking forward to being your President, as I am excited about our future as an organization.  Max believed he had magic. I believe we do as well, it is all of us working together for the betterment of children and families

Hummm – somewhere in the back of our closets we must have “wolf suits” don’t you think? Let’s go find them and let the magic begin!!
