Mission
The Solano-Napa Chapter's mission is to serve and act on behalf of the needs, rights and well-being of all young children with primary focus on the provision of educational and developmental services and resources.
Goals
Solano-Napa expresses its mission in terms of four broad goals:
- Improving professional practices and working environments in early childhood education settings.
- Supporting early childhood programs by working to achieve a high-quality system of early childhood education.
- Providing low cost, professional development opportunities, to ensure that children are in the care of knowledgeable, nurturing professionals.
- Building a professional, inclusive community of groups and individuals who are committed to promoting excellence in early childhood education for all young children.
Vision Statement
The Solano-Napa Chapter is committed to achieving the following goals:
- To make possible for all children to have access to a safe and affordable, high quality early childhood education in environments that respect and support diversity.
- To ensure that the curriculum in every program is developmentally appropriate, the staff is nurturing, knowledgeable and well trained, and that comprehensive services to support children's health, nutrition and social well-being, are available.
- To ensure that all early childhood professionals are supported as professionals with ongoing professional development opportunities.
- To establish standards of equitable compensation for professionals (at all levels) working in the field of Early Childhood Education.
- To help all families have access to early childhood education programs that are affordable and of high quality; where they may actively participate in their children's education as respected reciprocal partners.
