While earning my BA in clinical psychology at Tufts University I started working with young children as a Jumpstart corps member and team leader. Then I was honored with a Pearson Teacher Fellowship to teach with Horizons for Homeless Children for three years in Boston. Afterward I enrolled in SFSU's MA program in ECE and worked at Noe Valley Parent Co-op. When I graduated I started working as a Head Start teacher with Mission Neighborhood Centers, Inc. In 2014, our work was recognized with PFA’s Excellence in Teaching Award. With CAEYC I work to promote excellence throughout the profession.
