Committee Member - Center for Social Change
I have worked with children of all ages, and adults for over 25 years.
I have a Master’s Degree in Human Development through Pacific Oaks College in Pasadena California.
I have worked at Community Recovery Resources for over 3 years as the Family Services Coordinator. We run child development programs, parenting classes, one-on-one support to support the parents in recovery.
I also currently work at Sierra College.
I have also worked closely with Sierra Nevada Children Services as their Family Resource Center manager. I worked in-home with families in crisis to improve family relationships, connect families to needed services and to build community through education and one-on-one interaction.
I am a member of EPCC and CEASE training teachers to to lessen effects of violence in the classroom and have run statewide conferences for parents and adults that work with children.
I have had my own preschool that was NAEYC accredited that included Head Start and State Preschool.
I have worked closely with First 5, our college and our local Child Care Coordinating Council, as well as Community Support Network and CAPC to develop county strategies and support programs to support the ever growing family needs.
