AD HOC Committee - Governance/Bylaws Review
Carolyn Sanders is an Early Childhood Professional who has been in the child care business for over twenty five years, as a teacher and director. It has been her privilege to be part of church-related, Head Start, private for profit, corporate and Family Child Care, in both San Diego and Los Angeles counties. Now, as a consultant, she focuses her work on combining her passion for gardening and child development. Her formal education has been supplemented completing the Outdoor Classroom Specialist Level I Training.
Growing up on the East Coast, she remembers playing hide-n-seek with her neighborhood friends until the street lights came on, sitting on her front porch, and growing vegetables in a small patch of dirt in her backyard. It is her intent to give children and adults these types of experiences in order for them to make a real connection to the natural world. Gardening offers teachers and parents everything they want to keep a child engaged, interested and learning!
Her services include working with teachers and directors in cultivating gardens and creating garden based curriculum.
