Throughout her career Cindy Arstein-Kerslake M.A. has worked as a research and evaluation consultant to identify resources, tools and practices that address the needs of children with disabilities and their families in the fields of early intervention, early mental health and early childhood education. Over the past 9 years her efforts have focused on developing materials and gathering and expanding new resources to support inclusion for the "one-stop" clearing house: the MAP to Inclusion and Belonging website. As Coordinator of the MAP Project she coordinates with state and local agencies in supporting the inclusion of children with disabilities and other special needs in early care and education settings, after school programs and in the community. Cindy brings considerable expertise as a researcher, parent of a child with special needs, and professional who has focused on gathering input from the field regarding what is needed to support and promote inclusion and belonging.
