The presenter has extensive experience as trainer and technical assistance specialist on the Environment Rating Scales with providers, directors and other early childhood professionals throughout the U.S. She has served as a reliability anchor and data collector with federal and state research and evaluation projects using many early childhood assessment instruments and child outcome measurements. She served as a coordinator for the North Carolina Rated License Project from 1999-2004, establishing systems for reliability for a statewide Quality Rating System, as well as training assessors throughout North Carolina on the Environment Rating Scales. She is co-author of widely used All About the ECERS-R and All About the ITERS-R. She recently co-authored All About Preschoolers, an environment-based curriculum that emphasizes a comprehensive approach to child development. The presenter holds a M.S. in early childhood education in addition to her many years of experience working with children, families and other professionals in the field.
