ELAD 2013

Thank you for attending the 2013 Early Learning Advocacy Day on June 5, 2013. Approximately 90 early childhood educators from across the state, including teachers, child care providers, parents and business leaders were in attendance. We heard from local, statewide and national early care and education leaders to discuss the importance of advocating for our youngest children. Thank you to Assembly Member Anthony Rendon and Assembly Member Rocky Chavez for taking the time out of their busy schedules to address our attendees. Our voices did not go unnoticed as we stormed the Capitol to meet with our state legislators and their staff to share stories of how quality early learning programs are a critical investment to California’s children and families.

Thank you for attending this empowering event. Your presence and voice are important in the continued work of advocating for California’s children.

Share your knowledge! The California Association for the education of Young Children (CAEYC) is now accepting presentation proposals for the 2014 CAEYC Annual Conference & Expo, scheduled for April 3-5, 2014 in Pasadena, California.

CAEYC’s Conference Committee is looking for topics on practical experience and applied research in all areas relating to early childhood professionals. In addition, there is a demand for advanced level workshops, as well as workshops for family childcare and elementary/school-age programs.

Please be sure that you have read the “Frequently Asked Questions” section as we believe it will assist you in the submission process – click here for that information – it includes a preview of the information required in the online submission form.

As a friendly reminder:

  • Primary presenters may submit up to two proposals. If more than two proposals are submitted, the first two proposals submitted based upon the automated date stamp from the system will be accepted for review; all additional proposals after the second proposal will be subsequently deleted

Workshop proposals must be submitted online by Monday, July 15, 2013.

Thank you for your interest in presenting at our 2014 Annual Conference & Expo in Pasadena, April 3-5, 2014. We look forward to receiving your submission.
