Elections will be held this spring for the offices of
Vice President/Membership and Treasurer.
The terms will run from July 2007-June 2009.

Office: Treasurer
Term of Office: 2 years
Purpose: Maintain financial integrity of Affiliate Group
Some of the key responsibilities include; serving as financial officer of the organization and as chair of the finance committee, maintaining all bank accounts, accounts receivable and payable and any necessary financial reports, and works with President to ensure that appropriate financial reports are made available to the board at each board meeting. In addition the treasure prepares the annual financial review and answers board members? questions about the review, ensures development and board review of financial policies and procedures, monitors the receipt of all money due to and held by the organization, and files any Federal or State Tax reports are required.
Office: Vice President / Membership
Term of Office: 2 years
Purpose: Assist President in Carrying out management and policy making. Act as chair of membership committee.
Some of the key responsibilities include; participate in carrying out board management and policy making, preside at all board meetings in the absence of president and president-elect, serve as Membership Chairperson with the charge to recruit and maintain an active and inclusive membership and support Affiliate Group development, and perform other duties upon request of the President.
Qualifications for both positions include but are not limited to:
- A member of Kern AEYC
- A commitment to Kern AEYC and its values; an understanding of Kern AEYC's objectives, organization and services
- Ability to understand concepts and articulate ideas
- Successful Kern AEYC committee experience
